Meet Dr. Leah Peres

I love creating beautiful smiles and healthy lives. Seeing patients radiate confidence after improving their smiles, ready to take on the world, is the most rewarding feeling. I thrive on coming up with creative solutions to difficult problems as well as truly individualized treatment plans that are customized for each patient.

Dentistry, and orthodontics in particular, blends perfectly the creative side and scientific side of my personality, while enabling me to help improve people’s quality of life. I love being an orthodontist because it’s simply the best job in the word. I try to learn something from each and every one of my patients and am a firm believer that the more you give, the more you get.

Originally from Rochester, I am thrilled to be a part of the Premier Smiles Orthodontics family. I earned my B.A. from the University of Rochester before attending the Ivy League University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, where I earned my Doctorate of Dental Medicine and graduated with honors.

I returned to Rochester, where I completed my orthodontic residency at the Eastman Institute for Oral Health at the University of Rochester. During my residency, I served as a representative from my program to the American Association of Orthodontists and was named a Charley Schultz Resident Scholar for my research on treating open bites in adult patients.

I am involved in multiple professional organizations and attend many continuing education events every year. I am committed to staying current with the latest techniques and digital technologies to bring the highest quality of care to my patients. I strive to make the patient experience in the office more comfortable, more efficient, and more transparent. I invest a lot of time studying clear aligner therapy, to be able to deliver an exceptional orthodontic experience along with exceptional results.

Outside the Office

My fiancé Nick and I are getting married October 2020. We also have a wonderful Bernedoodle puppy named Moose who keeps us on our toes.

I love to try the exciting restaurant scene in Cleveland and explore the many breweries here. I’m also a huge sports fan, so you can usually find me cheering on my New York teams whenever they come to town. I love to travel and be active, so you may find me indoor cycling or hiking with my family!

Outside of work, I am very close with my family. I’m very willing to try new experiences and am always down for an adventure!
